Abstract

Men's domestic violence against women impedes their full economic, social and political participation in society. Since the 1990s, such violence has been addressed as a public issue in the People's Republic of China and increasingly domestic violence is being viewed as a human rights issue. The All China Women's Federation plays a central role is these developments.
