Abstract

Complexes of ZnII, CdII and LaIII with a novel hexadentate tetraamine macrocycle L1 are prepared and their X-ray structure analyses demonstrate the helicity of the tetraamine macrocycle is controlled by the metal ion size and its prefered coordination.
