This intervention of several ceramic artefacts into the Egyptian Galleries at the Manchester museum was a follow on from the AHRC funded exhibition in response to the Petrie Museum in 2006. The Manchester Museum has a long connection with the Petrie as well as a policy of bringing together archaic obectts and contemporary art practice. The intervention entitled Afterlife put figures and amuletic objects into cases with ancient objects as a comment on the significance of object in our lives and he human need for continuity through history.
