Abstract

We consider here the systolic array constuction of extrapolation tables us sed in the solution of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE's) associated with initial value type problems. The technique is examined first for a low order formula, i.e. Euler's method which is combined with extrapolation to improve the estimates of the solution. We also show how this is extended to the Bulirsch and Stoer algorithm and hence a generic form can be given to systolic arrays for the construction of extrapolation tables.
