Abstract

This article will give an overview of a social tourism partnership partnership projects in Flanders, Belgium’s northern and Dutch-speaking region. It will show the role of the private sector in the partnership, what has been achieved, and what motivates the accommodation providers and hotels to offer reduced tariffs to low-income groups. Finally the article will draw conclusions and make recommendations on how this can potentially be applied in a British context.
