Rawlings, Jini (2009) Longmuir/Laighmuir. [Show/Exhibition]Full text not available from this repository.
Single video projection with black screen and netting Shot on location around the cottage where my birth grandfather was born it evokes the sense of mystery which surrounds illegitimacy. As a local said “it looks like somewhere were something has happened and the house hasn’t forgotten it’. It is a companion piece to earlier work, ‘Illegitimate daughter’ and "Kitchie deems to NAAFI girls 100 years of illegitimacy"
|Additional Information:||The solo show at Duff House also included earlier work, Hrimceald Sae, shown previously at the National Maritime Museum 2006 and London Gallery West 2007; Illegitimate daughter shown in 2003 at Brighton Festival and in the 2004 touring exhibition Presence and Absence.|
